Post-Doctoral  Fellowship  at  York  University


The research in this lab examines the effect of bilingualism and other
experiences on children's development and the continuity of those
effects across the lifespan. The methods include behavioral and
neuroimaging techniques. The lab has a 64-channel BioSemi ERP system on
site. We are a large and active lab with many opportunities for
collaboration. The research is funded by grants from the National
Institutes of Health (NIH), the Natural Sciences and Engineering
Research Council of Canada (NSERC), and the Canadian Institutes of
Health Research (CIHR).

Candidates must have:

* Ph.D in developmental psychology, cognitive psychology or a related field
* Demonstrated research ability Knowledge of imaging techniques
(especially ERP) an asset
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and
with others

Responsibilities include supervision of research assistants and
participation in the design, collection, analysis, and write-up of
experiments. PDFs are encouraged to pursue their own research in the
context of this project. Opportunities available for teaching.
